What do you think? This is a pretty compact design.

I usually put a glass plate on top of the vase and glue the top capacitor on top of the plate.

For added safety you can secure the unit to a wood base. Glue a small block of wood to the base and drill a hole for the extension cord wire. Thread the wire through and tie a knot in the wire behind the wood block. That way you can yank on the cord without yanking on the wire connections.

You can also find a small plastic flower pot and fasten it up side down to the wood base covering up all the wiring.
